“Barkada” literally means “gang,” but it’s just what I’ve always heard us call ourselves – the Filipino side of my family. After this family Zoom and my scattered scribbles, I called Grandma Luds in Queens! She is doing well – she was able to go walk outside today! She knows that we love her, that we miss her, and that she is not forgotten…Thank God.
